Duties of the Village Clerk include:
- Attends all official meetings and prepares the Minutes and Agendas.
- Acts as the custodian of the Village seal and affixes its impression on documents whenever required. Arranges the placing of documents and Notices as required by statute, ordinance, or direction of the Village Board.
- Acts as the custodian of all documents belonging to the Village which are not assigned to the custody of another officer.
- Keeps and maintains a proper index of all documents and records.
